Variants and options
Variants let you sell a single product in multiple configurations — such as different sizes, colors, or materials — each with its own price and stock level.
Option groups
Variants are based on option groups. Manage your option groups under Catalog → Variant options. Examples: "Size" with values S, M, L, XL, or "Color" with values Red, Blue, Black.
Creating variants
- Open a product and go to the Variants tab.
- Select which option groups apply to this product.
- The system auto-generates all variant combinations (e.g. "Small / Red", "Small / Blue", "Large / Red", etc.).
Per-variant settings
- Price — override the base product price for specific variants.
- SKU — set a unique SKU per variant for inventory tracking.
- Stock — stock is tracked per variant.
- Image — assign specific images to variants via the Images tab.
Pricing
The base price on the Pricing & Stock tab applies to all variants unless you override it on a specific variant. If you only need to track stock per variant without price differences, leave variant prices empty — they inherit the base price.
