Payment providers
Storeborn supports multiple payment providers. Each is installed as an addon from Addons. You can have several providers active at the same time — customers choose their preferred method at checkout.
Provider comparison
- Svea Checkout — all-in-one Swedish checkout with card, Swish, invoice, and installments. The most popular choice for Swedish stores.
- Nets Easy — Nordic checkout solution supporting card, Swish, Vipps, and MobilePay.
- Stripe — international card payments, Apple Pay, and Google Pay. Great for selling worldwide.
- PayPal — PayPal balance and card payments. Widely recognized internationally.
- Adyen — enterprise-grade platform with 250+ payment methods.
- Swish — standalone Swedish mobile payments (Swish only, no card).
- Vipps — Norwegian mobile payments.
- MobilePay — Danish and Finnish mobile payments.
How to activate a provider
- Go to Addons, find the provider, and click Install.
- Open the addon's settings page and enter your API credentials from the provider's dashboard.
- Enable test mode to verify that checkout works before going live.
- Go to Settings → Payment tab to enable the method and configure per-method settings (min/max order amount, country restrictions, display name).
Tip: You can have multiple payment providers active simultaneously. Customers choose at checkout.
